She was a third-generation graduate of Baylor University, where she studied early childhood education and served as the chaplain for the Delta Delta Delta sorority.
After graduating inSherri married Mark Proctor of Lubbock and began her career as an elementary school teacher in the Lubbock Independent School District. After a number of years teaching in the classroom, Sherri homeschooled her children and served as a church worship-leader in Lubbock. In Nashville, she owned an artist management agency and was an accomplished vocalist and studio musician with a number of recordings to her credit.
Sherri lived a life of effusive faith.
Her home resonated with music born of gratitude as each day she attempted to walk as Christ walked. She cherished her role as a pastor's wife and was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church in Columbia. A celebration service will be held on Saturday, Sept.
